In the year of the Eucharist, we pause to reflect upon the Eucharist. Fr. Ron Rolheiser, OMI is a renowned author and specialist in the fields of spirituality and systemic theology. His weekly column appears in Catholic newspapers around the world and his books include; The Holy Longing, The Restless Heart and Forgotten Amongst the Lilies.
Fr. Ron Rolheiser is a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate and a world-renowned author, newspaper columnist, speaker and retreat director. His book The Holy Longing (2000) won the USA Catholic Press Book award for the best hardback book in spirituality. He is a regular weekly columnist in more than 30 newspapers in United States, Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland and New Zealand. His column won the Catholic Press of America award for 2002 as the best column in spirituality.
He has published articles in Louvain Studies, Critic, America, Homiletic and Pastoral Review and in several popular magazines including Catholic Digest and St. Anthony's Messenger. Throughout his priesthood, he has taught theology and philosophy at Newman Theological College in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and at Seattle University in Washington.
Fr. Rolheiser is currently president of the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, Texas.
